Why I Want to Be Your Wedding Photographer
From snowy vows to sacred stories, here’s why capturing love means everything to me.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to love stories. Not just the Hollywood kind, though I’ll admit, I’ve watched my fair share of romantic movies and cheesy TV weddings - but the real ones. The quiet glances. The nervous hands. The messy, magnificent kind of love that makes people choose each other, over and over again.
In 2018, I married the love of my life. It was snowing that day. Soft, magical, and unexpected. Although it was just a small chapter in our journey, it felt like something out of a dream. Since then, we’ve changed postcodes, added another little one to our clan, and built a life I never take for granted.
Every time I meet a couple and hear their story, I’m reminded of how sacred love really is. Each couple is unique, but there’s always a moment; sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, where I get to see their truth. And to be invited into that? To document the first day of a lifelong promise? It humbles me, every single time…
I don’t take photos to tick boxes. I take them to honour something real.
Being a wedding photographer isn’t just a job for me. It’s a calling. I’m a natural observer, always have been. I see both the beauty and brokenness in the world. That’s why I choose to celebrate love with my whole heart. Because in a world that can be chaotic and hard, love deserves to be seen, celebrated, and remembered.
So, to every couple who invites me in, here is a toast to you.
Thank you for trusting me with your memories.
Thank you for letting me tell your story.
May your wedding be just the beginning of a love that grows stronger, deeper, and wilder than you ever imagined.
With love,
